Happy September! Yes, school has started!
As you know, it is CTU’s 50th Anniversary this year. To honor this milestone, we have two special events planned. Members are able to choose which one you want to attend. Unfortunately, it is one or the other event per CT Member, unless we have an available space to offer.
Our first event was our Family-Friendly free event at the Potter Park Zoo in Lansing on Sunday, September 8, 2024. This event was free for the CT Member and guests including admission to the park, parking, food, ice cream vouchers, scavenger hunt with prizes, a photobooth, member and guest gifts.
The next event is our fancy, adult-only event on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Eagle Eye Banquet Center, East Lansing. It will start at 5:30 for social hour, then a brief program, dinner and music. This event will have a cost per person of $15 (Early Bird) or $20 closer to the event for the CT Member and guest. We will have history displays, a photobooth, member and guest gifts, and more. There is a limit of 200 members with their guests so a total of 400 people.
That registration link will be sent out the Monday after our Zoo event, September 9. This will be through Eventbrite as well.
Both will be on a “first served” basis and will have waiting lists.
IF NEITHER event appeals to you or have a scheduling conflict, you still get a CTU gift for being a member. Once they are ready, we will let you know how to get your gift.
And for CT members on other campuses, if you aren’t able to get to Lansing or East Lansing for the events, we will be bringing the goodies to you later this fall.
